SANDSTONE POINT RIDE - 9TH DECEMBER

A very good turn-out for this ride today with 20 participants taking part.  Photo below was taken at Sandstone Lakes

After the ride John Price held a workshop wherein he ably demonstrated some basic bike maintenance techniques.  Thank you, John.

Bob carried out the barista duties very well and provided us all with some wonderful coffees from his portable coffee machine.  Thank you, Bob.

BUG CHRISTMAS PARTY 2012

An entertaining evening took place on Wednesday 5th December when the Bribie BUG held their end of year Christmas Party.

The Irish themed evening saw most party goers dressed in green shirts, skirts, blouses, pants, hats and finger nails. The room was decked out gaily in green, white and orange decorations and sported two Irish flags. We were entertained with an assortment of Irish music played through the sound system and then later live music compliments of Ardal MacMahon and Brian Woodward of The Shenanigans. Peter accompanied them with some Irish songs. A rotating slide show was played throughout the evening of the many rides that have taken place over the last 12 months.

A roving mike saw participants tell Irish jokes and Isabelle and Richard both sung some Irish songs. The best applause was received by Isabelle and she won first prize. Sandra won the prize for best dressed. Prizes were kindly donated by Gary Parsons, Patron of the Bribie BUG, who also attended the party. Thank you Gary.

Clare and Ute provided a hot platter of finger food and nibbles and John arranged the drinks.

Lucky door prizes were won by Julia Knight who is a regular visitor to Bribie. She hails from Kentucky and rides a seven speed Nexus. Ardal from the band won the other. Thanks to Fiona for arranging the lucky door tickets and issuing the invitations.

A grand evening, it twas, to be sure, to be sure.  We look forward to seeing all members and hopefully welcoming new riders in 2013, indeed we do!!!
